Tonya Graham McQuade

Tonya Graham McQuade is an English Teacher at Los Gatos High School and lives in San Jose, California. She has published both nonfiction, A State Divided, and poetry, Time Capsule: My Teenage Self, and is a contributing writer to the Emerging Civil War website. Tonya is also an active member of the South Bay Writers/California Writers Club, National League of American Pen Women, and Poetry Center San Jose.

Palmer Pickering

Palmer Pickering has been writing fiction since she was eight. She received her BA in American Studies from Wesleyan University, with concentrations in Religion and Race Relations. She currently works in Silicon Valley in the gaming industry and high tech. She lives and writes in the magical redwood forest of the Santa Cruz Mountains, California.

Ryan Southwick

Ryan Southwick decided to dabble at writing late in life, and quickly became obsessed with the craft. His technical experience, medical skills, and lifelong fascination for science fiction became the ingredients for his book series, “The Z-Tech Chronicles”, which combines elements of each into a fantastic contemporary tale of super-science, fantasy, and adventure, based in his Bay Area stomping grounds.

Dave M. Strom

Dave M. Strom writes superheroine slapstick about Super Holly Hansson and her super friends (and fiendish foes). His short stories are printed in Fault Zone: Transform and Fault Zone: Uplift, the latest Carry the Light, and Scripting Change. Dave is a technical writer by day, and Super Holly’s writer by nights and weekends.

Marlena Frank

Marlena Frank is the author of young adult fantasy and horror novels, including several books that have hit the bestseller lists. Readers’ Favorite has praised several of her books with 5-star reviews. Marlena has various professional memberships, including the Atlanta chapter of the Horror Writers Association and the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association.

William C. Tracy

William C. Tracy writes and publishes queer science fiction and fantasy through his indie press Space Wizard Science Fantasy (spacewizardsciencefantasy.com). His largest work is the Dissolutionverse: a space opera with music-based magic. He also has a standalone epic fantasy with seasonal fruit-based magic and a nonfiction book about body mechanics and correct posture. He is working on the final book of The Biomass Conflux, a hard sci-fi trilogy with generational colony ships and a planet covered by a sentient fungal entity.

Michael Thal

Michael Thal is a freelance writer and author in Los Angeles, California. Michael began his career in public education. Due to a severe hearing loss, he left his tenured sixth grade teaching assignment to learn the writing craft. Michael has written over 80 articles for magazines like Highlights for Children, Fun for Kidz, Writer’s Digest, and San Diego Family Magazine.
