Noomi Rapier, just out of the Alternaut Academy (because there is always somebody just out of the Alternaut Academy in these sorts of stories), joins the Transdimensional Authority. With veteran partner Crash Chumley, she investigates a strange case of consciousnesses being transferred between minds in different universes.

In the process, she meets different versions of herself, seeing how her life could have turned out if she had made different choices and/or been born into different circumstances. The first in the Transdimensional Authority/Multiverse series of humorous science fiction novels.
